The James Burton Foundation received a generous donation towards the James Burton Studios from The Perkin Fund.

The Foundation donated a music oriented gift basket to the Minden St. Judes Auction on Saturday Feb 4th.  Their auction was a huge success and we are blessed to have been part of such an amazing cause.

And we would like to thank you all for supporting foundation through buying our cookbook. We are proud to say it sold out in two weeks! The James Burton Foundation Studio will be a professional level studio available to recording artists at standard rates, and available to donees without charge. The James Burton Foundation’s Thomas Detrie explains why the Workhorse and modules were the products of choice: “I decided on the Workhorse because of its modular design, flexible use options, sound quality, and build quality. Our Foundation is non-profit so I appreciate the ability to buy quality components in ‘bite size’ as our needs grow and our budget allows.”

Detrie has already been working with the new gear and had this to say: “The Workhorse is such a pleasure to use, and I am still discovering the great potential of the modular design and connectivity options. The Foundation has compiled favorite recipes from family, friends, and guest artists into a cookbook as a fund-raising project. It is a great gift, and James will autograph the first five hundred copies.
