In Memoriam

We are sad to report that Lola Poland Burton, James’ mother, passed away on 23 May 2011. Lola was born on 21 Nov 1914, and left a large, loving family to cherish her memory. For those wishing to express condolences, James asks that rather than flowers, please donate to the Foundation in her honor.

James to Attend Summer NAMM Trade Show

James and Louise Burton, and Foundation staff will attend the National Association of Music Merchants Summer Trade Show in Nashville.

James to be Honored by the Country Music Hall of Fame

The Nashville Cats program at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will interview James on Sat 23 July. These quarterly programs showcase the careers of musicians and session singers who have played important roles in country music history.
