Buddy Holly’s Guitar Recreation

See the April issue of Acoustic Guitar magazine for an article about the Buddy Holly Guitar Foundation and the recreation of Mr. Holly’s 1943 Gibson guitar. Each recreated guitar will bear one fret from Mr. Holly’s original instrument.

Foundation Studios Open

The James Burton Foundation Studios, located across Elvis Presley Avenue from the historic Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, opened on what would have been Elvis Presley’s 76th birthday.  The Foundation Studios is a state-of-the-art recording studio for professional musicians, and their session fees go to provide recording time free to Foundation recipients.
